Sponsorship and Exhibit/Display (S/E/D) requests must be made through the Biogen Idec Grants Office by an authorized representative of the requesting organization and will be reviewed by the Grant Committee.
S/E/D support may not be offered or provided with the intent of, directly or indirectly, implicitly or explicitly influencing or encouraging customers to purchase, prescribe, refer, sell, arrange for the purchase or sale or recommend favorable formulary placement for a Biogen Idec product or service or as a reward for past or future behavior.
Who Can Apply
For Sponsorships: Biogen Idec may sponsor nonprofit or certain for-profit organizations for healthcare related events or programs.
For Exhibits/Displays: Biogen Idec may purchase commercial display or exhibit space from non-profit or certain for-profit organizations.
S/E/D requests must be received by the Grants Office at least sixty (60) days in advance of the date at which the requesting organization requires a funding decision.
S/E/D funding may not be Provided to:
- Any healthcare provider
- Any patient
S/E/D Process
- Biogen Idec Grants Office staff may: Handle, transmit, review or evaluate S/E/D requests, or make any communications regarding the status of an S/E/D request.
- Biogen Idec employees may: Explore S/E/D opportunities, express interest in providing support and discuss benefits associated with the request.
Note: No Biogen Idec representative is allowed to commit Biogen Idec to an S/E/D under any circumstance before the Grant Committee has reviewed and, if approved, set the funding threshold for support.
S/E/D Review
- Applications must be submitted at least sixty (60) days in advance of the date at which the requesting organization requires a funding decision.
- You will receive notification from the Grants Office of the Grant Committee's decision.
- The Grant Committee will review all requests. Submission of requests does not guarantee funding.
Note: Requestors are required to notify the Grants Office with program changes (e.g. date, venue, and content changes) prior to the event. Grant Committee may withdraw support as a result of any such program changes.
S/E/D Re-submission
If your S/E/D was not approved, you may re-submit the same application after ninety (90) days. The Grant Committee will re-evaluate the program.

- Qualifications of requesting organization and subsequent partners
- Adherence to all related regulations, guidelines and policies.
